Painted 1903 Violin – 2015 – DONATION – Guitars As Art Charity Fundraiser, Canon City, CO

Old musical instruments of all kinds were donated or purchased for this  fundraiser. Dave and Lynda Lambert, Canon Signature Mortgage purchased this violin at a local antiques store.  Rhonda picked it as her subject for embellishment.

It was cleaned up and a fabric canvas created representing things that the Canon City, CO area offered including the Royal Gorge Bridge, the Royal Gorge Railroad, and white water rafting.  Created using a wholecloth approach with pigments colored onto the fabric.  The resulting piece was glued onto the face of the violin.  All musical instruments were auctioned off with the money going to local area charities.
