Hello! It looks like you are interested in participating in one of my 6-hr Introduction to Stitching for Dimension workshops (USD $45). Even though this workshop is done using Zoom, participants will need to be mailed the Supply Kit for the workshop. Therefore, unless other arrangements can be made, this requirement may restrict where it can be taken.

Adding stitching to your piece not only binds your quilt sandwich together, but it can add to your design. Whether you are creating a traditional quilt and want to add interest or you have an art quilt and you want to add dimension to your design, stitches are one way of accomplishing that. The possibilities are endless. Once you get over the fear of free-motion and realize that your sewing machine is another tool to create, you will find that free-motion stitching can be a lot of fun!
In this special 6-hr workshop, you will be introduced to free-motion stitching, including Rhonda’s techniques of using stitching to create dimension. This workshop is appropriate for anyone who wants to learn free-motion, but you need to be familiar with your sewing machine and its free-motion capabilities. There is no time to help someone trouble-shoot sewing machine issues in this workshop.
Attendees will be using various exercises to gain confidence and then, using a printed fabric version of one of Rhonda’s fiber art projects, will plan for and practice stitching for dimension and interest. At the end of the workshop you should be well on your way to creating your project, gaining confidence in your own free-motion sewing abilities. You can then finish the project on your own time.
You will choose between two different printed fat quarter panels below: Bald Eagle & US Flag or Spirit (USD$ 18 + postage). We will need to know which pattern you choose ahead of time so the proper Supply Kit can be mailed to you in time for the workshop.
