Artist Statement about this piece:
I am starting to play more with my free motion work. This piece, Crow Dance I, is an example of spontaneous free motion stitching. I had no pattern except an idea in my head. I started stitching with my sewing machine and created the piece. It was quite liberating and fun! I chose to do the stitching in black thread and afterwards I used pigments to color this whole-cloth piece.
