This is a Round Robin quilt, made by Rhonda and 3 other women who went on a Safari expedition to Kenya in 2011. Each person in the project made the first quilt block (the center block). Then each block was passed on to the second person, who added to the project, making the top larger. It was then passed to the third person and then to the fourth, so all participants added to the quilt top. The quilt top was returned to the original person, ending the Round Robin. We each got to finish the quilt, either by adding more fabric and other items to the top or just quilting the top as is.

What made the Round Robin project fun and interesting is that we did not see the top until it was returned to us, creating a mystery quilt top. After the Round Robin quilt tops were completed, each of the four of us had a unique, hand-made souvenir of their Africa travel together to treasure!
