Happy New Year! We have lots of snow on the ground, but it does not stop morning walks (at least for Ray and the dogs Gracie & Scooter). I walk to the mailbox and back (200 yds or so), then they go on their walk. Next week: start doing longer walks, after my doc appt (6-wk post-op). BTW after today's walk, Scooter requested snow tires for his cart!

I had my left hip replaced on Monday Nov 24. My sweet sister-in-law Mary Kretsinger, who seems to know everyone in Emporia, drove me to the hospital at 5: 20 am. The video documents those who took good care of me. Thanks for taking the photos Mary! Ray was able to come visit later that morning. Thanks to Mary, he was able to take care of all our animals before coming to visit.

R&R Acres - My left hip has been giving me some issues over the past several months. Here lately I was told to sit to get my legs elevated and use a heating pad to help relieve the pain. And so here you go!
